 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  Mark Consuelos announces death of his father Saul as emotional Kelly Ripa shares touching tribute


On Monday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of Consuelos’ father, Saul. 


Consuelos explained that his father died peacefully after a long illness, while Ripa grew emotional describing him as “the greatest person I’ve ever known.” 


She emphasized how deeply the loss has affected their family, noting that she, Consuelos, and their three children Michael, Lola, and Joaquin will miss him every day.


The couple reflected on Saul’s role in their lives, recalling his warmth and dedication to family. 


Ripa mentioned how he often helped care for their children when they were young, while Consuelos remembered the lessons his father taught him through everyday tasks and conversations. 


He shared how those experiences shaped his own skills and values, highlighting Saul’s influence as both a parent and mentor. 


The children, now in their twenties, are especially struggling, as this marks the first major loss they have faced.


Consuelos also honored his father’s remarkable journey from Mexico to the United States. 


Arriving as a teenager, Saul built a life of service and achievement, dedicating 30 years to the U.S. Navy and earning advanced degrees along the way. 


Consuelos described him as a shining example of the opportunities America offers immigrants, praising his brilliance, resilience, and devotion to his adopted country. 


Ripa concluded by thanking Saul for everything he gave their family, while viewers expressed condolences and support for the couple during this difficult time.
