 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  NFL Legend Lawrence Taylor Hospitalized, Family Shares Update


Lawrence Taylor is currently in the hospital receiving treatment for a stomach-related condition.


The 67-year-old NFL icon has been under medical care for about a week, according to a statement shared on April 27 by his attorney, Mark Eiglarsh. 


While there is no confirmed discharge date yet, he is said to be responding to treatment and remains under close observation.


The update also made it clear that the situation is not considered life-threatening, offering some reassurance to fans who have been following the news.


Through his representative, Taylor expressed appreciation for the support he has received, thanking those who have kept him in their thoughts during this period.


For many, Taylor’s name carries weight far beyond the current health update. 


He built a remarkable career with the New York Giants, where he spent all 13 seasons in the league after being selected in the 1981 NFL Draft.


His impact on the game was immediate. He picked up Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in his debut season and went on to win Defensive Player of the Year multiple times. 


At his peak, he was widely seen as one of the most disruptive defensive players the sport has ever seen.


Taylor also played a key role in two Super Bowl victories with the Giants, helping secure championships in 1987 and 1991. 


His influence on the field earned him a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999, along with the rare honor of having his jersey number retired by the franchise.


His life after football has not been without challenges, including legal issues that drew public attention years after his playing days.
