 PRESS RELEASE NSC CHAIRMAN HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF PARA ATHLETES IN NIGERIAN SPORTS AS FIRST LADY DECLARES 3RD NATIONAL PARA GAMES CLOSED The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON has declared the 3rd National Para Games closed. Senator Tinubu was represented at the event held at the Velodrome Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja by wife of the Vice-president Her Excellency, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima.  Her Excellency Senator Tinubu applauded the athletes' resilience in the course of the Games.  NLC TASKS STATE CHAPTERS ON FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE 


The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has ordered its state chapters to push harder for the full implementation of National Minimum Wage Act on May Day


A statement by the General Secretary of the Union, Emmanuel Ugboaja, the Congress decried what it described as widespread violations of the law by several state governments, particularly in the areas of consequential salary adjustments, timely payment, and the inclusion of local government workers, primary school teachers, and health personnel.


NLC asked it State councils to make their voices heard loud and clear on the streets and key government institutions

 if State governments fail to comply with the wage act.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
