Offset is back to work and speaking openly after a frightening incident earlier this month.
The rapper, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, appeared on the Creators Inc. podcast just days after he was sh0t outside a casino in Florida.
During the interview, he was still connected to an IV, but that did not stop him from showing up.
Host Andy Bachman seemed surprised, asking how he even made it to the studio. Offset explained that he flew to Los Angeles on a private jet, lying down the entire time and sleeping through the journey.
Despite everything, he has already returned to performing, including a recent show at the University of Arkansas. For him, the mindset is simple, the work continues.
“The show don’t never stop,” he said, making it clear he had no intention of slowing down. He added that he feels fortunate to still be able to move and keep going, choosing to focus on progress instead of sympathy.
Offset also shared that he is working on new music, drawing inspiration directly from his personal experiences. According to him, what he has been through is shaping the sound and direction of his upcoming album.
The situation surrounding the shooting also involved Lil Tjay, who was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Authorities said he was linked to a disturbance near a valet area at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. He was later released after posting bond.
Police confirmed another person was briefly detained at the scene, though no charges were filed against that individual.
