  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  SENATE APPROVES PRESIDENT TINUBU’S 516 USD LOAN REQUEST


Senate clarifies that  the 516.3 million USD loan request it approved this Wednesday for the federal government is a financial lifeline to  avoid delays in the execution of the Sokoto Badagry superhighway project.


National Assembly Correspondent, Lami Ali reports that this latest loan from the Deutsche Bank AG,  was an alternative to an earlier package sourced from a Bank in the middle east, which Nigeria has been unable to receive due to the Iran war.


Lawmakers while approving the loan expressed optimism that the road would significantly reduce travel time between the North and South of Nigeria thereby enhancing economic activities across the Corridor.


The Sokoto Badagry Super highway covering 1000 kilometers stretches from Illelah in Sokoto State, through Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Oyo, and Ogun states to Badagry in Lagos.


Meanwhile the Senate during the plenary confirmed appointees of President Tinubu among them Lamido Abubakar Yuguda as Deputy Governor of CBN.


Also President Tinubu has communicated the Senate declining assent to the NIMC bill due to structural defects among others.
