 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. TINUBU SACKS EDUN, DANGIWA OVER POOR PERFORMANCE, TAIWO OYEDELE,ELEVATED TO MINISTER OF FINANCE. (PHOTO).

  In a recent development, President Bola Tinubu has approved a limited cabinet reshuffle, resulting in the removal of Wale Edun and Ahmed Musa Dangiwa from the Federal Executive Council, according to a memo signed by Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation. 


Taiwo Oyedele, formerly Minister of State for Finance, has been elevated to Minister of Finance, taking over from Wale Edun, who previously held the dual role of Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. 


Meanwhile, Muttaqha Rabe Darma has been appointed to succeed Dangiwa at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
