Senator Tinubu was represented at the event held at the Velodrome Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja by wife of the Vice-president Her Excellency, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima.  Her Excellency Senator Tinubu applauded the athletes' resilience in the course of the Games.  TWO-STOREY BUILDING COLLAPSES IN ABUJA, WORKERS TRAPPED, RESCUE EFFORTS UNDERWAY 


Panic in Abuja as Two-Storey Building Collapses, Trapping Workers Beneath Rubble


A wave of panic has swept through Jikwoyi, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory, following the sudden collapse of a two-storey building still under construction, leaving an unspecified number of workers feared trapped beneath the debris.


According to eyewitness accounts, the tragic incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, sending shockwaves across the community as onlookers scrambled in confusion and distress.


Emergency responders from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have since arrived at the scene and are actively coordinating rescue operations.


As efforts intensify, tension hangs heavy in the air, with anxious residents and relatives of the victims hoping for miracles amid the unfolding tragedy.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
