 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. Woman throws $162,000 in cash from Balcony after ‘fight with her husband’


Authorities in Guangdong, China, have launched an investigation after a woman reportedly threw cash estimated at $162,247 from her high-rise apartment.


The money triggered a frenzy as residents and passersby rushed to pick up some notes for themselves. 


According to Mail Online, Property management officials confirmed the cash is genuine, though unverified reports claim the incident may have stemmed from a dispute with her husband.


Another claim suggested that the woman was emotionally distressed after hearing about a family friend’s illness.


Police have since called on anyone who picked up the money to return it, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
