48-year-old Eric Pierwsza had spent the night of May 25th out on the town, spending the entire night out drinking. When Eric arrived back to his Buffalo Township, Pennsylvania home on Tuesday morning, his wife was not happy about his choices.
The couple began arguing, and eventually, Eric's wife expressed her desire to end their marriage. After having a line drawn to his bad behaviors, Eric decided it was time to take things up a notch.
Eric simply replied, "If it's over, I'll tear the house down". He then exited their home, leaving his wife and two daughters inside.
Once outside, Eric climbed into an excavator and started to make good on his promise.
According to reports, dispatchers could hear yelling and the sounds of the home being destroyed during his wife's 911 call.
Eric would eventually stop leaving their homes structural integrity in question. He then entered the home and grabbed his gym bag before heading towards Fawn Township, where he was stopped by police and taken into custody.
Eric Pierwsza is being charged with causing a catastrophe, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct. According to court records, Eric's wife is also seeking an order of protection against him following the morning's dramatic events.
Eric Pierwsza is scheduled in court for a preliminary hearing on June 9th.
