Baby Brooksbank due 2026 - Princess Eugenie expecting third child, shares joyful family update

Princess Eugenie is expecting again, and this time, the news came with a simple, happy message that quickly warmed hearts.

On Monday, she and her husband Jack Brooksbank confirmed they are preparing to welcome their third child.

A statement released by Buckingham Palace shared that the baby is due this summer, adding that the couple are “very pleased” about the growing family.

At home, the excitement is already building. Their two sons, August, 5, and Ernest, 2, are said to be looking forward to meeting their new sibling.

The update also reached King Charles III, who has been informed and is reportedly delighted.

Eugenie chose to keep things personal on social media.

She posted a photo of her sons holding up an ultrasound image, with a short caption, “Baby Brooksbank due 2026,” followed by hearts and a baby emoji. It was simple, but it said everything.

Her journey with Jack goes back years. The two got engaged in 2018 after a long relationship, then married later that same year at St George's Chapel in a ceremony attended by senior royals, including Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

They welcomed their first son in February 2021, followed by their second in May 2023, just weeks after King Charles’ coronation. Now, baby number three is on the way.

The announcement came right after a family moment, Jack had just marked his 40th birthday, and Eugenie shared rare photos of their life together to celebrate him.

Still, behind the joy, there has been tension around the wider family. Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, have faced ongoing public scrutiny in recent months.

Reports around their situation have drawn attention, and the situation has been difficult for those close to them.

Through it all, Eugenie and her sister have kept their focus tight, staying close to their own families and shielding their children from the noise around them.

Life has also shifted in practical ways. Eugenie and Jack split their time between the UK and Portugal due to his work, building a routine that works for their growing household.
