Cubana Chief Priest Faces Backlash Over Comment Following Tiny’s Funeral Attended by Davido

Cubana Chief Priest has come under criticism online following a remark he made after the funeral of Davido’s late friend, Tiny, which took place overseas on Friday, May 29, 2026.

A viral video circulating on social media showed the socialite recording a clip shortly after the burial while riding in a luxury convertible. Davido could be seen seated in the back of the vehicle, while some associates in the background were heard joking about Chief Priest’s recent loss at the All Progressives Congress primaries.

The video sparked reactions after Chief Priest casually stated:

“Yeah man, we're outside cemetery chilling.”

Many social media users described the comment as insensitive, considering the solemn nature of the occasion and the emotional atmosphere surrounding Tiny’s burial.

The backlash comes shortly after a separate video showed Davido visibly emotional as Tiny’s casket was lowered into the grave.

Recall that Tiny reportedly passed away in March after suffering a heart attack. Speaking at the funeral, Davido paid tribute to his late friend, describing him as a vibrant personality whose absence would be deeply felt.

According to the singer, Tiny was full of energy and had a presence that could light up any room. He also admitted it was difficult coming to terms with speaking about his friend in the past tense.
