 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. EDO POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS IN JATTU 


The Edo State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika,fdc has recorded another breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping and other violent crimes in the State. 


On the 15th May, 2026, at about 1750hrs, the Divisional Police Officer, Jattu Division, received that one of the suspected kidnapper of one Ibrahim Jemila (F) , who was abducted and later released on 13th May, 2026, had been sighted at Jattu Market. Acting swiftly on the information, operatives of the Division mobilized in collaboration with members of the Edo State Security Corps to the location where three suspects were arrested. The suspects were: 

1. Nura Dahiru ‘M’ aged 22 years

2.  Ibrahim Yakubu ‘M’ aged 25 years 

3. Abubakar Inusa ‘M’ aged 23 years 


In the course of investigation, two of the suspects, Nura Dahiru and Ibrahim Yakubu, have been positively identified by Jemila and one other as members of the kidnapping gang responsible for their abduction.
