 U.N chief Guterres calls for countries fueling Sudan's war to be held accountable United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Wednesday for countries providing weapons to the warring parties in Sudan that are used to attack civilians to be held accountable. "What is happening in Sudan is absolutely horrible. The humanitarian situation in Sudan is devastating. The level of suffering of the Sudanese people is intolerable," Guterres told reporters ahead of the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations in New York next week. Sudan's war, which erupted in April 2023 following a power struggle between the military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, has displaced more than 14 million people and created one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.  Emmanuel Odiniya, father of BBNaija All Stars winner Ilebaye, speaks out on strained family relationship


The father of Big Brother Naija All Stars winner Ilebaye, Emmanuel Odiniya, has publicly addressed an ongoing family crisis, revealing that his once-close relationship with his daughter has deteriorated since her rise to fame.


In an emotional interview conducted on Sunday in Abuja, Odiniya claimed that Ilebaye now requires him to book appointments before he can see her. 


“She made me book an appointment before I could see her. Things are no longer the same between us,” he said.


According to him, the bond between father and daughter changed significantly following Ilebaye’s victory in the BBNaija All Stars edition and her subsequent success in the entertainment industry.


The family dispute gained widespread attention after a video of Ilebaye in an emotional state surfaced online days ago. The clip triggered mixed reactions on social media and reportedly prompted police intervention.


The situation continues to generate significant online discourse, with many fans expressing concern over the growing rift within the family.


Reality TV star Tacha Akide also waded into the matter, calling for urgent intervention after Ilebaye’s emotional livestream went viral. 


“Ilebaye’s face has been ruined,” Tacha was quoted as saying.
