I’m home where I belong - Kathy Griffin shares hospital update after colonoscopy complications

Kathy Griffin has reassured fans she is recovering after experiencing complications following a recent medical procedure.

The comedian revealed that she spent the night in hospital after undergoing a colonoscopy, later sharing that she had since returned home and was feeling better.

Posting an update online, Griffin mixed honesty with humor as she addressed the situation. She admitted the topic was not exactly glamorous, but said she was happy to be back home with her dogs after the unexpected hospital stay.

Alongside her message, the 65 year old shared a smiling selfie, showing herself in good spirits despite the health setback.

Griffin has long been open about personal health struggles and has never shied away from discussing difficult moments publicly.

Back in 2021, she revealed she had been diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer despite never smoking.

At the time, she shared that doctors planned to remove part of her left lung through surgery and remained optimistic because the illness had been detected early and had not spread.

Even while processing the diagnosis, Griffin spoke candidly about the emotional shock that came with hearing the news. She admitted there were moments when the reality of the situation still felt surreal to her.

Still, she focused on the hopeful side of the diagnosis, often reminding herself that the cancer had been caught at an early stage.

Just a few months after surgery, Griffin returned with a positive update, announcing that she was cancer free.
