A 19-year-old Texas man survived a lightning strike while fishing with his mother the day before Mothers Day. Hunter Wyche proclaimed himself the "unluckiest lucky man" after he was struck by lightning on Saturday, May 10th. Hunter had taken his mother fishing along the Angelina River and was expecting a relaxing day catching up with his mom and maybe catching a few fish. However, while Hunter leaned against a tree, lightning struck, throwing him several feet and leaving him unconscious and wounded. Hunter blacked out during the ordeal and awoke to his mother and a crowd of people around him. As Hunter regained consciousness, he couldn't move his right foot and could barely move his leg.  Jake Paul says boxing future in doubt as he continues recovery from broken jaw suffered in loss to Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul says his boxing future is uncertain as he continues recovery from broken jaw suffered in loss to Anthony Joshua. The YouTuber-turned-boxer said in a recent interview that he is still healing from the injury sustained during his December fight and will undergo new scans in the coming days to assess how the bone is healing and whether he can safely return to training and sparring.

Paul said his jaw is “feeling a lot better,” but emphasized that he still needs medical clearance before getting back into the ring. He described his future in the sport as unclear, saying there is a real possibility he may not be able to fight again depending on how his recovery progresses. He also noted ongoing dental issues stemming from the bout and said he may require an implanted tooth as part of his recovery.

In December, Paul suffered a knockout loss to heavyweight Anthony Joshua, marking another defeat in his boxing career and leaving him sidelined with a broken jaw after being knocked down multiple times. He acknowledged that doubts about continuing his boxing career remain, but said he still feels he has unfinished business in the sport and does not believe he is done competing.

Paul also said his fiancée, Dutch speedskater Jutta Leerdam, is supportive of either path he chooses, noting that she understands both the drive of elite athletes and the possibility that he could step away from boxing entirely to focus on other business ventures.
