 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. The planes have brought in technical ​equipment as well as dozens of physicians, engineers, lab experts and construction work...

 Nigeria Football Star Samuel Chukwueze Lays Mother to Rest in Umuahia


Nigerian international footballer Samuel Chukwueze, winger for the Super Eagles, on Friday buried his mother, Prophetess Dr. Mrs. Sarah Chukwueze, in a solemn open-air funeral service held at Isieke School Field in Ibeku, Umuahia.


The funeral, conducted by interdenominational ministers, attracted a large gathering of mourners who came to pay their last respects to the deceased.


Dignitaries from various sectors graced the occasion, including political leaders, traditional rulers, football stakeholders, community leaders, friends, and sympathisers.


Among the prominent figures present was Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.


Tributes poured in for the late Prophetess Dr. Mrs. Sarah Chukwueze, who was described by speakers as a devoted Christian, loving and caring mother, and a compassionate woman whose life was marked by selfless service, kindness, and unwavering commitment to humanity.


The burial ceremony brought together people from different walks of life to honour her memory and console the Chukwueze family.
