The newly elected executives of UDUF Africa have been adviced to approach leadership with dedication, vision and a strong sense of responsibility towards advancing the mission and goals of the organisation.
The President of UDUF Africa, Pastor Uchenna Christopher, gave the advice during a pre-induction training programme held at Onitsha Business School, commending the new executives and members of the organisation for their commitment and willingness to serve.
According to him, the training was organised to equip the newly elected executives with the knowledge, leadership skills, strategic direction and practical understanding needed for effective service and sustainable impact within the organisation.
He noted that the programme was also aimed at strengthening leadership capacity and reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to raising visionary leaders capable of transforming communities across Africa.
Delivering a lecture titled “Leadership Foundation and Strategic Direction,” the Founder of UDUF Africa, Dr Smart Chinedu, highlighted the principles of effective leadership, stressing the importance of vision-driven leadership, accountability, service and strategic planning for organisational growth.
Dr Chinedu also spoke on “Understanding Membership Growth and Resource Mobilisation,” where he outlined practical strategies for attracting and retaining members, fundraising and mobilising resources for sustainable development within the organisation.
Encouraging the newly elected executives to put the lessons learnt into practical use, he emphasised that leadership knowledge only becomes valuable when translated into action.
According to him, learning without implementation amounts to a waste of executive time and organisational resources.
He urged participants to demonstrate commitment by applying the knowledge, skills and lessons gained from the training towards effective leadership, meaningful service and creating lasting positive impact within UDUF Africa and the communities they serve.
Also speaking, Comrade Obiozo Augustus delivered a session on “Strategic Planning and Goal Setting,” where he encouraged participants to set clear objectives, develop workable action plans, and align personal and organisational goals with the vision and mission of UDUF Africa.
In another lecture on “Team Building and Effective Collaboration,” Ambassador Henry Ezeudo stressed the importance of teamwork, communication, trust-building and collaboration in achieving organisational goals.
The training featured active participation from attendees through discussions, questions, interactions and idea-sharing with participants demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment throughout the programme.
