Alleged $4.5bn Fraud: Court Admits Co-Defendant’s Statement in Emefiele’s Trial Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, May 4, 2026, ruled that the extrajudicial statement made by Henry Omoile, co-defendant to the erstwhile Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele, is admissible in court. Omoile had challenged the admissibility of his statements to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), alleging that it was obtained under oppression and inducement. This led to a “Trial-within-Trial” to determine the voluntariness or otherwise of the statement. Omoile is currently facing a three-count charge bordering on unlawful acceptance of gifts as an agent, while Emefiele is standing trial on a 19-count charge filed by the EFCC, bordering on alleged gratification and corrupt demands during his tenure as CBN Governor.  Both defendants pleaded not guilty to all charges. We are so blessed - Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden welcome baby number 3

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have welcomed their third child together, sharing the news in a simple but emotional announcement that quickly drew attention.

Benji revealed the arrival on Instagram on Monday, May 4, posting an illustration of a pirate ship with the name “Nautas Madden” written beneath it.

In his caption, he confirmed that he and Diaz are “happy, excited, and feeling so BLESSED” as they welcome their new baby boy into the world.

He also shared additional drawings, including a cardinal and a potted plant, as part of the creative announcement.

His message carried a warm tone, ending with gratitude for their family life and a note that their children are healthy and happy.

The couple, known for keeping their private life out of the spotlight, have consistently chosen not to show their children publicly or discuss them in detail during interviews.

They are already parents to two children, daughter Raddix Wildflower Madden, 6, and son Cardinal Madden, 2.

After the birth of Cardinal in 2024, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE that Diaz, 53, and Benji, 47, felt deeply grateful and “beyond lucky” to expand their family.

According to the insider, parenthood has been something Diaz has long cherished.

She had reportedly hoped for a second child for years and often reflected on her journey to motherhood with strong emotion.

Diaz has also spoken openly in past interviews about becoming a mother later in life.

In a 2022 conversation with BBC Radio 2’s Michelle Visage, she reflected on the experience, noting the differences between her own stage in life and younger mothers, while emphasizing her desire to stay energetic and present for her child.
