Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

Algeria and Austria draw 3-3 in dramatic finish to reach World Cup knockout stage; Iran eliminated

Algeria and Austria played out a dramatic 3-3 draw in a chaotic World Cup group stage finale that sent both sides through to the knockout round and heartbreakingly eliminated Iran. With both teams aware that a draw would be enough to advance, the match instead turned into a relentless back-and-forth contest featuring late twists, stoppage-time drama, and a final equalizer on the last touch of the game.

Austria struck first through Marko Arnautovic, who finished a sharp one-on-one opportunity after breaking through the Algerian defense. Algeria responded just before halftime when Rafik Belghali leveled the score with a left-footed finish. The tempo only increased after the break as Marcel Sabitzer restored Austria’s lead, only for Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez to strike back shortly after to make it 2-2.

The closing stages became increasingly tense as both sides appeared aware that a shared result would be enough to progress. Algeria briefly appeared to seal the outcome when Mahrez scored again in stoppage time, but Austria refused to fold. In the final moments, Sasa Kalajdzic rose to head home a dramatic equalizer that completed the 3-3 scoreline and secured Austria’s place in the next round alongside Algeria.

The result proved devastating for Iran, which would have advanced as one of the best third-placed teams had either side lost. Instead, the late Austrian equalizer confirmed its elimination. Both Algeria and Austria now move on from Group J, with Algeria finishing third and Austria second behind Argentina, setting up knockout matches against Switzerland and Spain, respectively.

After the match, Austria coach Ralf Rangnick called the contest one of the most dramatic he had ever experienced, while Algeria coach Vladimir Petkovic praised his team’s resilience in a match that swung repeatedly from one side to the other. Fans in Kansas City were left stunned by a match that delivered nonstop momentum shifts from start to finish.
