 Stephen Baldwin claims he was fired from rom-com for being 'funnier' than Jennifer Aniston Stephen Baldwin recently revealed that he was originally cast in the 1998 romantic comedy The Object of My Affection but was dismissed early in production. On his podcast One Bad Movie, Baldwin explained he had been chosen to play Vince McBride, the boyfriend of Jennifer Aniston’s character Nina Borowski.  However, after just two days on set, a producer told him there was a “problem”  specifically, that he was “funnier than Jennifer,” which they felt undermined the film’s dynamic. Baldwin described the criticism as both shocking and humiliating, likening it to being “mauled in the face by a wolverine.” He said he tried to tone down his comedic delivery but was ultimately cut from the project and told to go home.  The role eventually went to actor John Pankow, while Aniston starred opposite Paul Rudd, who played her gay roommate George. CP SANI-OMOLORI ALIYU CONDOLES WITH GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE OF KIRFI LGA OVER FATAL RAINSSTORM


The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), has extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Kirfi Local Government Area following a devastating rainstorm that claimed two lives earlier today.


According to preliminary reports, at about 1000 hours today, 10th June 2026, Kirfi LGA experienced heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds. The severe weather incident resulted in the tragic loss of Aisha Sagir, 50-year-old, and her granddaughter, Aisha Shuaibu, 4-year-old, both of Unguwar Katsinawa, Bara Village, Kirfi LGA.


In addition to the loss of lives, the rainstorm destroyed several houses, livestock, and other valuables worth millions of naira. Police operatives attached to Kirfi Division have visited the scene to assess the extent of the damage and to maintain order in the affected community.


CP Sani-Omolori expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family and the entire people of Kirfi LGA. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.


The CP further assured residents that the Command, in collaboration with other relevant agencies, remains committed to supporting disaster response efforts and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.


He also urged citizens to remain vigilant during this rainy season and to report any emergencies promptly to security agencies for swift response.
