Stephen Baldwin claims he was fired from rom-com for being 'funnier' than Jennifer Aniston Stephen Baldwin recently revealed that he was originally cast in the 1998 romantic comedy The Object of My Affection but was dismissed early in production. On his podcast One Bad Movie, Baldwin explained he had been chosen to play Vince McBride, the boyfriend of Jennifer Aniston’s character Nina Borowski.  However, after just two days on set, a producer told him there was a “problem”  specifically, that he was “funnier than Jennifer,” which they felt undermined the film’s dynamic. Baldwin described the criticism as both shocking and humiliating, likening it to being “mauled in the face by a wolverine.” He said he tried to tone down his comedic delivery but was ultimately cut from the project and told to go home.  The role eventually went to actor John Pankow, while Aniston starred opposite Paul Rudd, who played her gay roommate George.  Facebook, Instagram Experience Global Outage, Users Logged Out

Meta-owned social media platforms Facebook and Instagram suffered a widespread outage on Friday, preventing millions of users worldwide from accessing their accounts.

The disruption affected Facebook's website, mobile app, and Messenger service, with many users reporting that they were unexpectedly logged out. Attempts to sign back in resulted in error messages stating that an unexpected error had occurred.

Visitors to Facebook's website were also greeted with a notice indicating that the company was working to fix the issue.

As the outage unfolded, users flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm whether others were experiencing similar problems.

While Facebook and Instagram were the hardest-hit platforms, WhatsApp appeared to remain largely functional despite sharing some infrastructure with Meta's other services. However, a number of users also reported difficulties accessing Instagram's web version.

The outage appeared to have a global impact, with reports emerging from several countries within a short period.

Downdetector, a service that monitors online disruptions, recorded a significant spike in reports related to Facebook and other Meta products before its own website experienced technical issues.

At the time of reporting, Meta had not released an official statement explaining the cause of the outage.

The company does not maintain a public status page for its consumer platforms, though it operates one for business services, which had not yet reflected the disruption.
