Soludo Celebrates Fathers, Says Fatherhood Builds Society

By MaryAnn Chukwuma

The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has paid tribute to fathers across the world, describing fatherhood as a noble responsibility that extends beyond providing for the family to nurturing values, character, and strong homes that contribute to societal development.

In a Father’s Day message shared on his official Facebook page today, June 21, Governor Soludo noted that fatherhood entails commitment, guidance, and daily sacrifices that help shape future generations.

According to him, “Fatherhood is more than providing, it is teaching values, showing up daily, and building homes where dreams can grow.”

The Governor expressed gratitude to God for the gift of his late father and for the privilege of being a father himself, saying he remains thankful for the opportunity to impact lives through the family institution.

He also commended fathers worldwide for their sacrifices, discipline, resilience, and unwavering love, stressing that society becomes stronger when fathers lead their families with courage, integrity, and a sense of responsibility.

“To all the fathers across the world, thank you for your sacrifice, your discipline, and your love. Our society grows stronger because you choose to lead your homes with courage and integrity,” he stated.

Governor Soludo further encouraged fathers to continue serving as positive role models and pillars of support in their homes and communities.

He urged fathers to remain steadfast in their roles as mentors, protectors, and sources of inspiration to their families, emphasizing that strong families are the foundation of a progressive and prosperous society.

Father’s Day is celebrated annually across the world to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions of fathers and father figures to the upbringing of children, family stability, and societal development.
