Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

Israeli prosecutors indict six over alleged terror-linked settler attack that included mosque arson in West Bank village

Israeli prosecutors have filed charges against six individuals accused of carrying out a violent settler attack on a Palestinian village in the occupied West Bank that included the burning of a mosque.

Authorities said the charges include offenses such as acts of terrorism, arson, sabotage, and violent rioting tied to what investigators described as a nationalist motive. The indictment relates to an incident in the village of Deir Dibwan in the central West Bank.

According to police, the group allegedly coordinated their entry into the village, arriving masked and carrying flammable materials, tear gas, and a knife. Once inside, they are accused of setting fires to vegetation, torching vehicles, damaging a mosque, attacking homes, and throwing stones at residents and property.

The attack took place on June 14, when Israeli settlers were also reported to have targeted another nearby village. Security forces were dispatched at the time following reports of arson and widespread violence.

Officials said the latest indictments mark a continuing pattern of cases tied to rising settler-related violence in the West Bank. Palestinians have long argued that such incidents often go unpunished, while rights groups say accountability has not meaningfully improved safety on the ground.

More than 500,000 Israelis live in West Bank settlements and outposts considered illegal under international law, alongside roughly three million Palestinians. The territory has been under Israeli occupation since 1967, and violence has intensified since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, with reports of settler attacks increasing sharply in 2026.
