U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. LET ME REPEAT THIS CLEARLY: NOBODY HAS ASKED ME FOR MY DAUGHTER’S HAND IN MARRIAGE. MY FAMILY BOTH IMMEDIATE AND EXTENDED, DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY TRADITIONAL OR MARITAL RITES. STOP TELLING A PACK OF LIES! - JOHN FASHANU. (PHOTO).

"@the independent in the Nigerian media have decided to spread falsehoods stated by my daughter Amal, after I came out to refute her false.claims.

This is cheap.and  very iresponsible journalism, especially after I made it clear in my last instagram post that my daughter’s claims were untrue. This is an insult to my intelligence and not far off exploiting my personal issues in a deceptive way.

Let me repeat this clearly: Nobody has asked me for my daughter’s hand in marriage. My family both immediate and extended, did not participate in any traditional or marital rites. Stop telling a pack of lies!

The young man whom she introduced a few weeks ago as her husband, came alone with no family member nor a bottle of water, let alone  a  glass of wine to my house.

Publishing an article stating that  I blessed a  grand marriage of my daughter is deceptive to the audience of The Nigerian Independence newspaper. Deceptive and disgraceful. The authour of that article and their supervisor probably.need a different jiob.

Media orgamisations that deliberately publish false claims are ruining their own credibility. There must be greater accountability in the media, this is just unacceptable
