 OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA: TROOPS DESTROY TERRORIST HIDEOUTS AS OFFENSIVE OPERATIONS COMMENCE IN KATSINA STATE Troops of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY) have commenced a deliberate offensive operation, code-named Operation CLEAN SWEEP III, targeting terrorist and bandit elements operating within Matazu Local Government Area and adjoining communities in Katsina State. The operation was launched following the unfortunate incident that led to the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted alongside his wife by suspected terrorists and bandits in the area. The operation is aimed at locating and neutralizing the perpetrators of the heinous act, dismantling criminal networks and restoring security within the affected communities.  NSA BROKER PEACE IN WARRI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY 


Following President Tinubu directive to the National Security Adviser to Peacefully resolve the lingering crisis in the proposed Warri Federal Constituency 11,

representatives of the Ijaw and Itsekiri ethnic nationalities in Delta State have agreed on a power-sharing formula to resolve the dispute over electoral ward delineation carried out by INEC in the area.


In the agreement, the House of Representatives seat will rotate between the Ijaw and Itsekiri ethnic groups, with the Ijaw nationality taking the first turn for two consecutive terms before the seat shifts to the Itsekiri for a similar tenure.


The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ijaw nationality by former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Kingsley Otuaro, and Dr. Eric Omare, while A.S. Mene and Robinson Ariyo signed for the Itsekiri nationality and witnessed by the NSA, DG DSS and the Delta state Governor.
