  TikToker undergoes traditional cleansing after filming Oloolu masquerade procession A yet-to-be-identifed female TikTok user narrowly escaped death after allegedly recording a procession linked to the annual Oloolu Masquerade Festival in Ibadan, Oyo State. The incident, which has gone viral on social media, sparked widespread debate after videos showed the woman undergoing traditional cleansing rites at the Oloolu compound. Speaking with newsmen on Monday, Chief Adeola Oloko, the spokesperson of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, said the woman did not record the sacred Oloolu masquerade itself but filmed Alawo Oloolu, a figure associated with the Oloolu tradition. He said the traditional custodians confirmed that the woman captured the procession while it was moving through the Ibadan axis. “She did not capture Oloolu; she mistook it for Alawo.  Odumeje Criticises Tinubu Government Over Rising Insecurity, Kidnappings


The General Overseer of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu over the worsening security situation in the country.


Speaking during a church service, the cleric expressed concern over the increasing cases of kidnappings and killings across Nigeria, accusing political leaders of failing to adequately address the crisis.


Odumeje lamented that while ordinary citizens continue to face threats from criminals, top government officials move around with heavily protected convoys and bulletproof vehicles.


He argued that all Nigerians have equal rights and should enjoy the same level of security as public office holders, noting that the nation's resources belong to all citizens.


The cleric also decried the plight of kidnapping victims, alleging that many Nigerians remain in captivity while politicians focus on future political campaigns.


According to him, elected leaders should prioritise the safety and welfare of citizens rather than political ambitions.


Odumeje further questioned the government's handling of insecurity, expressing concern over reports of bandits making demands from authorities while many abducted persons remain unaccounted for.


He called for urgent action to address the country's security challenges and ensure the protection of lives and property.
