Serena Williams' husband addresses critics over White House UFC event Alexis Ohanian, husband of tennis star Serena Williams, faced backlash after attending President Trump’s 80th birthday celebration at the White House, which doubled as a UFC event staged by Dana White’s TKO group. The spectacle drew criticism when fighter Josh Hokit used his post-fight interview to make a vile slur about former First Lady Michelle Obama.  Ohanian, who co-founded Reddit and now owns several sports teams, stayed silent for days before finally condemning the remark on social media, insisting he had already left the event when it was made. In his statement, Ohanian explained that he attended at the invitation of UFC’s parent company and emphasized his past decision to resign from Reddit in protest against hate-filled communities.  Why I Celebrate Divorce: Comedian Bovi Sparks Debate With Unconventional Marriage Views

Popular Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has sparked a lively conversation online following his recent appearance on The Morayo Show, where he shared his surprisingly candid thoughts on the institution of marriage and the concept of divorce.

Known for his sharp wit and observational humor, the stand-up star did not hold back when asked about relationships, admitting that he views the end of a marriage in a much more positive light than most traditional societies do.

Why Bovi Celebrates Divorce

During his chat on the show, Bovi revealed that he actually "celebrates" when couples decide to go their separate ways. According to him, divorce often signifies that one or both individuals have chosen to step out of an environment where they are no longer thriving or happy.

"I don't want to suffer for anyone, and I don't want anyone to suffer because of me in a marriage," Bovi explained, emphasizing that human happiness and mental well-being should take precedence over staying in a dysfunctional union.

Reflecting on 17 Years of Marriage

Lest anyone assume his opinions stem from personal bitterness, the father of three was quick to clarify that his own marriage is very much intact, though not without its hurdles. Bovi, who tied the knot at the age of 29, has been married to his wife, Kris Asimonye, for 17 years.

He admitted that maintaining a long-term union is a continuous effort. "It has not been easy," Bovi confessed, debunking the fairy-tale perception of celebrity marriages often projected on social media.

The 'Nonstop' Provider Debate

The conversation took a lighter turn when the show's host, Morayo Brown, commended the comedian for his dedication to his household, noting that he has been providing for his family for nearly two decades. Smiling, Bovi jokingly agreed, saying he has been on "nonstop" duty as a provider throughout those years.

This particular exchange, alongside his thoughts on divorce, quickly went viral. Fans took to social media to share their thoughts, with many marveling at how youthful the comedian looks despite his long years of marital responsibility. Others laughed along with his humorous take on the financial demands of family life, praising his honesty and work ethic.
