 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

 Adele Opens Up About Son Angelo and Their Shared Interest in Formula 1


Adele spoke about her son Angelo during a visit to McLaren Racing headquarters on Friday, where she also met senior team figures and Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.


The 38-year-old singer discussed how her 13-year-old son, whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki, has developed an interest in karting, which sparked her own growing involvement in Formula 1.


She said the interest began after Angelo started asking about motorsport a few years ago.


“He just sort of asked about it a couple of years ago and I was like, ‘All right,’” she said. “I don’t know many teenagers who have a passion so I’m really trying to encourage it. He’s obsessed but I’m also obsessed.”


Adele added that the shared interest has become a regular point of connection between them.


“I don’t think I ever expected to bond with my soon to be 14-year-old son about something so passionately where we argue about drivers,” she said. “But it’s fun to have that interaction with a teenage boy in 2026, I wasn’t expecting it.”


During the visit, Adele also took part in a conversation with reigning Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris, who asked her whether she still enjoys singing.
