 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8.  Emma Roberts marries Cody John in private Idaho ceremony nearly a year after announcing engagement


Emma Roberts and actor Cody John have married after nearly a year of being engaged.


The couple exchanged vows during an outdoor ceremony at a private residence in Idaho on Saturday, July 25, according to photos obtained by DeuxMoi.


Roberts wore a custom-made Monique Lhuillier wedding gown paired with a sheer shawl and a long white veil. She later changed into an archival Monique Lhuillier dress for the after-party. John wore a brown suit for the ceremony.


Representatives for both Roberts and John did not immediately respond to requests for comment.


According to DeuxMoi, Roberts' aunt, Julia Roberts, and her husband, Danny Moder, attended the wedding festivities in Idaho. Emma Roberts is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts, Julia Roberts' older brother.


The wedding follows the couple's engagement announcement in July 2024. Sharing the news at the time, Roberts posted a photo with John showing her engagement ring and joked, "Putting this here before my mom tells everyone."


Roberts and John first made their relationship public in August 2022 after John shared a photo of the pair kissing on Instagram. Roberts later posted her own photo with him in December that year as they marked the end of 2022 together.


Last year, Roberts spoke about her relationship with John during an interview, recalling that the pair were moved to tears after watching the film The Iron Claw together.


A source previously told E! News that the couple met through mutual friends and had been enjoying their relationship, adding that their friends and family were supportive of them.
