 NSC INSPECTS PROPOSED SPORTS FACILITY SITE IN NNEWI AS OSUMUOH DESCRIBES PROJECT AS GAME CHANGER  By Enoch Uzuegbunam  The President General of Nzukọ Ọra Nnewi Town Union, Hon. Prince Jude Osumuoh, on 22 July, received a delegation from the National Sports Commission for inspection of a proposed sports facility site in Nnewi. The inspection was conducted at the Nigeria Science and Technical College, Nnewi, where officials assessed the proposed location for sports infrastructure aimed at expanding grassroots sports development and youth engagement. The proposed project includes a standard football pitch with pavilion, volleyball court, tennis court, and modern toilet facilities designed to improve sporting opportunities and encourage healthy recreational activities across the community. PHYCHOMOTIVE WELLBEING: POLICE HOLDS MONTHLY PHYSICAL FITNESS EXERCISE IN BAUCHI 


The Bauchi State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+) today conducted its monthly physical fitness exercise across all Area Commands and Divisions in the State.  


The exercise, which commenced early this morning at the Command Headquarters and simultaneously in Area Commands, Divisions, and Formations, had in attendance members of the Command’s management team, other senior police officers, and rank and file personnel. Activities included road walks, jogging, and other drills aimed at enhancing the physical and mental alertness of officers.  


Addressing personnel after the exercise, CP Sani-Omolori emphasized that physical fitness is a core requirement for effective policing. He noted that a healthy and agile workforce is better positioned to respond swiftly to security challenges and deliver quality service to the public.  


The Commissioner further charged officers to imbibe the culture of regular physical exercise, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties. He also used the opportunity to appreciate the unwavering support of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, for prioritizing the welfare and operational readiness of personnel nationwide.  


The Command remains committed to ensuring that officers are not only operationally sound but also physically fit to meet the demands of modern policing and to better serve the good people of Bauchi State.
