 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

THE ANAMBRA STATE MAGISTRATE COURT HAS REMANDED THE OWNER AND PUBLISHER OF IGBOTIMES MAGAZINE, EJIKE OFOEGBU, AT THE AMAWBIA CORRECTIONAL CENTRE PENDING FURTHER COURT PROCEEDINGS.(PHOTO).

 The Anambra State magistrate Court has remanded the owner and publisher of IgboTimes Magazine, Ejike Ofoegbu, at the Amawbia Correctional Centre pending further court proceedings.


Ejike Ofoegbu was arrested for publishing false information against Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo and his family.


The case was brought before the court today 13th of July, after which the judge ordered that the defendant be kept in custody while the legal process continues.


Further hearings on the matter are expected in the coming days.

⚖️ MAN ARRAIGNED OVER ALLEGEDLY FALSE POSTS ABOUT GOV. SOLUDO AND HIS SON


The Anambra State Police Command has arraigned Ejike Ofoegbu, the alleged owner and publisher of Igbo Times Magazine and iNews, over allegations of publishing false and defamatory reports about the family of Governor Charles Soludo.


According to the police, the case followed a petition alleging that Ofoegbu published fabricated stories on social media claiming, among other things, that Governor Soludo had disowned his son, Ozonna (Ozo) Soludo, and other statements attributed to both father and son.


Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga said the suspect was handed over by the Department of State Services (DSS), investigated, and subsequently arraigned in court. He has reportedly been remanded in a correctional centre pending further proceedings.


The police also stated that Ofoegbu has since retracted the publications and issued a public apology to Governor Soludo.


The allegations against the defendant will be determined by the court, and he remains entitled to the presumption of innocence unless proven guilty.
