41-year-old Alison Klafehn is being charged with prescription drug fraud and theft from $1,000 to $2,500.

These charges come after Dr. Plummer, who is the Dean at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, called authorities to report Alison for stealing Fentanyl.

Authorities were able to confirm Dr. Plummer's accusations by viewing security footage. In the footage, authorities observed Alison accessing secured areas and taking Fentanyl . Alison would then replace the drugs she had stolen with sodium chloride.

Authorities estimate around 40 mL were stolen in their initial viewing, but they suspect that the amount will be much higher once their investigation is completed.

Alison admitted to the theft during an interview with authorities.

Alison Klafehn was arrested on July 27th by the University of Tennessee Police Department. She is scheduled to make her initial court appearance in Knox County on August 17, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
