Kaduna Govt Assesses Security Operations In Kafanchan, Reaffirms Commitment To Peace

The Kaduna State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening peace and security across the state as senior security officials undertook an assessment tour of Kafanchan and parts of Jama’a Local Government Area.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Vigilance and Local Security Coordination, Hon. Yusuf Usman Garba, led the delegation alongside the Senior Special Assistant on Vigilante and Local Security Coordination, Malam Abdullahi Liman.

The assessment, according to the delegation, was part of ongoing efforts by the administration of Governor Uba Sani to improve security coordination, strengthen collaboration with conventional security agencies and community-based security structures, and sustain peace across Kaduna State.

During the tour, the delegation visited Mopol 62 in Kafanchan, where it received briefings from security personnel on the prevailing security situation, operational challenges and areas requiring enhanced coordination and support.

The team also inspected the Kaduna Vigilance and Development Service (KADVS) Sector Command in Jama’a Local Government Area to assess its operational readiness and community-level security activities.

The delegation further visited Sub-Sector 7 of Operation Endurance Peace in Kafanchan, where security personnel provided updates on the security situation and ongoing efforts to protect communities and maintain peace.

The engagements focused on strengthening a coordinated, intelligence-led and community-responsive approach to security management.

The officials stressed the need for continuous collaboration among conventional security agencies, vigilante formations, local authorities and communities, noting that effective partnerships were essential to early identification of threats, improved information sharing and rapid response to emerging security challenges.

The delegation said the Kaduna State Government remained determined to safeguard the lives and property of residents while strengthening the foundations for sustainable peace and stability across communities.

It added that improved security coordination would also create a safer environment for economic activities and social development across the state.
