 Algeria gifts Niger four military helicopters Niger's military has received four military helicopters and other equipment gifted by Algeria, airport and security sources told AFP on Tuesday. Arriving in the Nigerien capital Niamey on Sunday, the shipment included four attack and transport helicopters, spare parts, maintenance equipment and ammunition, an airport source said. Niger's air force chief of staff, General Salifou Mainassara, formally received the donation on Monday at a ceremony attended by Algerian military officials, a security source said. The delivery comes as Algeria and Niger strengthen security ties after moving earlier this year to repair relations that had been strained for months following the downing of a Malian drone in Algeria last April. The incident triggered a diplomatic row, with Niger joining Mali and Burkina Faso in recalling its ambassador from Algiers.  Singer Ne-Yo sued after his dog allegedly attacked delivery woman at his Atlanta-area home


Singer Ne-Yo is facing a lawsuit after a woman who was delivering a package to his home allegedly suffered a dog bite.


According to the lawsuit, Dominique Bridgett was attacked by the singer’s dog while delivering a package to his Alpharetta, Georgia home in July 2025. 


Bridgett claimed the dog was not restrained despite allegedly having a history of aggressive behaviour towards people.


She said the incident left her with injuries, pain and emotional distress, and that she has already spent more than $9,000 on medical bills.


The lawsuit, filed in Fulton County Court in June, accuses Ne-Yo of negligence and seeks an unspecified amount in damages.


Ne-Yo’s representative has not publicly commented on the lawsuit.


The case comes shortly after Chris Brown was ordered to pay nearly $13 million after a jury found him liable in a separate case involving an alleged dog attack on a housekeeper.
