#OSUNDECIDES2026: WE ARE STUDYING ELECTION RESULTS, SAYS APC. (PHOTO).

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said on Sunday that it is studying the results of the governorship election across all 332 wards in the state before deciding its next course of action.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, the party said it was examining the poll outcomes carefully. It described an election as a process that begins with voter registration and continues through the primaries, the election itself, and the courts, ending only at the Supreme Court.

“An election cannot be said to have been concluded without having explored all these constitutionally allowed legal opportunities to enrich the nation’s jurisprudence as enshrined in the Electoral Act 2026 as amended,” the statement said.

The APC pledged to explore every avenue provided by the Electoral Act after consulting its lawyers. It described such steps as part of the democratic process and rooted in the principles of the rule of law, fairness and justice.

The party commended the loyalty and steadfastness of its members and supporters. It urged them to remain calm, continue with their daily activities and avoid reacting to any provocations from the ruling party.

It also appealed to the Nigeria Police Force to protect its members and supporters from what it described as needless molestation by the opposition, while assuring them that the party would not abandon them.

“The current situation in the political history of the state is a passing phase which will soon become part of history,” the statement added.
