TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA UNCOVER SHALLOW GRAVE, EXHUME REMAINS OF LATE COMMUNITY LEADER IN IMO STATE Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, operating under Operation UDO KA and through the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have achieved another significant breakthrough with the recovery and dignified exhumation of the remains of the late Chief Ibe Anyadu of Aggah Community. Chief Anyadu was allegedly murdered by suspected members of a criminal gang recently apprehended in connection with violent crimes in the region. This development follows recent intelligence-driven operations that led to the arrest of suspects responsible for the killing of a Nigerian Army soldier and the recovery of stolen service weapons. During interrogation, one of the suspects confessed to involvement in the murder of Chief Anyadu and volunteered to lead troops to the burial site. PHIL COLLINS’ RECENT REFLECTIONS REVEAL JUST HOW CLOSE HE CAME TO LOSING HIS LIFE ONLY TWO YEARS AGO.(PHOTO)

Phil Collins' kids came to say goodbye when singer, 75, was on his deathbed due to alcoholism in 2024: 'They were worried they wouldn't see me again'

Phil Collins’ recent reflections reveal just how close he came to losing his life only two years ago. The 75‑year‑old singer admitted that his battle with alcoholism left him unconscious in the hospital, with doctors even discussing whether to keep him on life support. His five children, including actress Lily Collins, were called to his bedside to say goodbye.

“My kidneys were packing up, my organs were just seizing up. People were coming to say goodbye,” he recalled, noting he has no memory of their presence. Thankfully, he survived and has remained sober ever since.

Collins described how his recovery has been both physical and emotional. He celebrated New Year’s with Lily, who was moved to tears at the chance to share those moments with him.

Yet his health challenges have been extensive: five knee surgeries, COVID contracted in hospital, and complications that required him to hire a 24‑hour live‑in nurse to manage his medication. “Everything that could go wrong with me, did go wrong with me,” he admitted, but emphasized that he now feels healthier than he has in years.

Even so, Collins has tempered expectations about returning to the stage. While he will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in November 2026, he has no plans to perform at the ceremony, explaining that he is not “match fit” and his voice would suffer without rehearsal.

Still, he hasn’t ruled out music entirely, confessing he often tells himself to head back into his home studio.

His last concert was in 2022, but his resilience and determination suggest that while his touring days may be behind him, his creative spirit remains intact.
