Prince Harry, Elton John, and others ordered to pay nearly $13 million to UK tabloid publisher
Prince Harry and six other defendants, including Elton John, Sadie Frost and Elizabeth Hurley, have been ordered to make an initial payment of nearly $13 million to a British tabloid publisher after losing a privacy lawsuit.
The group brought the case against Associated Newspapers Limited, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, accusing the company of unlawfully gathering private information.
The defendants lost their High Court case in July. The latest order requires them to make the substantial initial payment to the publisher as the legal dispute continues over costs.
