 Flights suspended to Ethiopian holy town of Lalibela as fighting expands Flights to the historic Ethiopian town of Lalibela ​were suspended on Thursday due to fighting nearby, seven sources said, as residents in the Tigray region to the north stocked up on food and ‌cash, fearing that renewed fighting could trigger another major war. Tigrayan forces seized three local airports and launched attacks in Afar and Amhara regions with allies there this week, in the most serious escalation since a devastating 2020-22 war against Ethiopian government troops. In its first public comments on the fighting, Ethiopia's army said on Thursday that it had foiled the attacks and killed, wounded or captured more than 500 enemy fighters. The United Nations ​and the European Union called for restraint and a return to the African Union-brokered peace process that had ended a conflict that killed hundreds of thousands of people.  Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ prison release date changes again, now set for February 2028

Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently scheduled to be released from federal prison in February 2028, although his projected release date has changed several times.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons now lists Feb. 20, 2028, as Combs’ release date. That is roughly a month later than the previously listed Jan. 24 date but earlier than several other dates that had appeared previously, including April 15, April 25 and June 4. No explanation has been provided for the changes.

Combs, 56, is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey. He is participating in a substance abuse rehabilitation program while serving his sentence.

A jury convicted Combs last year on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

Combs’ attorneys continue to challenge his conviction and sentence through the appeals process.

In July, Combs was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with another inmate and was subsequently placed in solitary confinement.
