 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

 Association Of Non Indigenes In Anambra Appreciates Tinubu's Empowerment Initiative, Lauds Soludo's Progressive Administration

The Association of non indigenes in Anambra State led by its President General Chief Great Ugwuoke, came in their large number at the Dr.Alex Ekwueme Square Awka to receive the wife of the president Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who was on a national assignment to the state to commission the ICT Experience centre at the Federal Polytechnic Oko, unveil the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South east at the old governor's lodge Amawbia, and to launch a state empowerment project to support 5,000 beneficiaries from all the 21 LGAs of the state who were eventually supported by the president's wife with one hundred thousand naira each. 


Chief Ugwuoke granted a press interview to express his appreciation to the first lady of Nigeria for showing concern for the widows, vulnerable people and the less privileged in the state.


According to the President General, the association invited by the Anambra State government, has a share in the gesture extended by the wife of the president.


He used the forum to commend the federal government and Governor Chukwuma Soludo for their kind gesture toward making the visit of the wife of the president successful.


Chief Ugwuoke used the forum to convey the support and solidarity of the non indigenes in the state to the administration of Governor Soludo.


The group was accompanied by its former president Igwe Amos Nkwuda.
