 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

 COLLECTION OF 2018, 2022, 2023 E-BECE CERTIFICATES, 2024 E-ATTESTATION FOR CAS COMMENCES - EXAM BOARD 


The Lagos State Examinations Board has announced the commencement of the collection of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) e-BECE Certificates for the years 2018, 2022, 2023 and the 2024 e-Attestation for CAS.


The Board disclosed that the 2024 e-Attestation and e-BECE Certificates are now ready for collection by schools and Stakeholders who participated in the 2024 Placement Test by Continuous Assessment Score (CAS) and the BECE conducted in 2018, 2022 and 2023.


According to the Board, the development is part of its commitment to ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining the credibility, reliability and integrity of the State's examination and certification processes.


The Board advised eligible schools to present the original payment receipt for the examination and Examination results issued by the Lagos State Examinations Board at the point of collection. 


Collection commences from Wednesday, 16th September, 2026 at the Lagos State Examinations Board. 


The Board further stated that only school owners are authorised to collect the certificates on behalf of their respective schools. It stressed that collection by proxy is strictly prohibited, noting that the measure is necessary to safeguard the integrity of the certification process, prevent unauthorised collection and ensure proper accountability.


The Lagos State Examinations Board therefore urged all eligible schools to comply with the stipulated requirements and make the necessary arrangements to collect their certificates.
