Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has allocated 255 plots of land and approved a cash donation for the 255 APC Ward Chairmen across the state as part of efforts to empower grassroots party leaders.
The announcement was made during a one-day capacity-building workshop organised by the Kaduna APC Digital Campaign Project for Ward and Local Government Chairmen.
The workshop, held ahead of the forthcoming elections, was themed “Effective Digital Campaigning for Voter Mobilisation,” with the motto “Modern Tools for Grassroots Engagement.”
The training was designed to equip grassroots leaders with strategic digital tools to promote APC candidates, mobilise voters, communicate the party’s programmes and strengthen engagement with communities across the state.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Sani at the event, the Director-General of the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim, said the land allocation was part of the governor’s continuing commitment to empowering key stakeholders at the grassroots.
According to him, the initiative demonstrates the administration’s recognition of the contributions of ward-level leaders to community mobilisation and political engagement.
The workshop attracted several prominent APC members and dignitaries, including the Kaduna APC Chairman, Hon. Atiku Isaac Sankey; former Governor and Zone One Senatorial Candidate, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero; Executive Director of the Nigeria Integrated Water Resources Management Commission, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Abubakar Mamadi; Senator Shehu Sani; and the Special Adviser on Political Matters, Alhaji Aminu Zaria.
Other party officials and stakeholders also attended the training, which focused on strengthening the capacity of grassroots leaders to effectively deploy digital platforms in modern political campaigns.
