 Woman accused of biting chunk out of victim’s forehead in ‘zombie bite’ attack A blood-curdling, random attack in downtown Seattle last week left a woman with injuries to her face similar to a “zombie bite,” she said. Diana Gonzalez, 36, was walking to a 7-Eleven when a crazed suspect, identified as homeless woman Kamilia Chadli, threw a food wrapper at her. When Gonzalez questioned her actions, Chadli allegedly spit on her, used a homophobic slur, and called her “the inferior race.” Chadli then allegedly began assaulting her, tossing her to the ground. Then, horrifyingly, Chadli allegedly took a bloody bite out of Gonzalez’s forehead. A nearby witness pulled the women apart and pursued Chadli after she allegedly fled the scene. Seattle police would later apprehend her, and she has been charged with felony second-degree assault. Gonzalez needed to be hospitalized and is recovering.  OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA: BUNGUDU LGA CHAIRMAN, FOUR OTHER KIDNAP VICTIMS ESCAPE CAPTIVITY, RECEIVED BY TROOPS IN ZAMFARA STATE


Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have received and secured the Chairman of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Hon. Nura Umar Abdullahi, and four other kidnap victims who escaped from terrorists’ captivity in the early hours of Thursday, 24 September 2026, in the general area of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.


Hon. Nura Umar Abdullahi was abducted from his residence in Bungudu town in July 2026, an incident on which the Theatre Command had earlier issued a statement.

The victims escaped in the course of an intelligence-led operation by troops against a suspected terrorists’ location in the general area, and were received by troops deployed in the vicinity. They were provided with security cover and evacuated to a military medical facility, where they are responding to treatment and undergoing evaluation and routine debriefing. 


One of the victims has since been reunited with his family, and arrangements are being made for the safe reunion of the others with their families and the Zamfara State Government.


The Theatre Command commends the courage, resilience and determination of the victims in regaining their freedom after a prolonged period in captivity. It also commends the troops for their vigilance and professionalism in receiving and securing them. The return of the victims is a welcome relief to their families and the people of Bungudu Local Government Area, and Zamfara State as a whole. 


Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA will sustain clearance and dominance operations across the general area to disrupt terrorist activities and protect communities, and remain committed to securing the safe return of any other persons still held or missing.


The Theatre Command urges members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to the nearest military or other security agencies.
