 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

Lady Eliza Spencer exudes aunt Diana's elegance as she battles Meghan Markle with new wine


Lady Eliza Spencer, daughter of Earl Spencer and niece of Princess Diana, has debuted her first wine, a Provençal rosé called Lala V. The release was marked by an exclusive tasting at Hackstons in Knightsbridge, London, where Eliza presented the wine with poise and sincerity. 


She explained that the rosé was inspired by leisurely Mediterranean lunches and time spent with loved ones, highlighting its approachable yet elegant character. She also credited her fiancé, Channing Millerd, for his support in designing the bottle, label, and website.


The name Lala V carries personal meaning, derived from a childhood nickname given by her brother Samuel, who struggled to pronounce “Eliza.” The “V” stands for her middle name, Victoria, and also symbolizes “vie,” the French word for life, reflecting the wine’s ethos of celebrating joyful moments. 


During her speech, Eliza emphasized her desire to create a rosé that was not only delicious but also embodied a lifestyle of fun, elegance, and togetherness. Her warm, down‑to‑earth demeanor drew comparisons to her late aunt Diana, admired for similar qualities.


Unsurprisingly, the launch has been compared to Meghan Markle’s own rosé, released through her lifestyle brand As Ever. Markle’s Napa Valley rosé debuted in July 2025 on Princess Diana’s birthday, marketed as Provence‑style but met with mixed reviews. 


While some praised it as “quiet luxury,” others dismissed it as tasting like “cheap wedding wine.” 


With Lala V, Eliza enters the same space as her cousin‑in‑law, but with a distinct personal story and branding that ties her wine to family heritage and the celebration of life.
