The Raw Materials Research and Development Council, RMRDC, and the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, FCT Chapter, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen media advocacy, women empowerment, and the development of Nigeria’s raw materials sector.
During the ceremony in Abuja, the Director-General of the RMRSC Professor Nnanyelugo Ike-Muonso and the Chairperson of NAWOJ FCT, Bassey Ita Ikpang, noted that the partnership would create opportunities for stronger media engagement and greater public understanding of the Council’s contributions to national development.
The MoU is expected to run for an initial period of two years and is renewable. It covers media advocacy and public awareness, women empowerment and raw materials processing. Others include value-chain development and capacity building in product development.
