 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

 Sandra Bullock says she 'barely remembers' Oscar win because she was caring for newborn son


Sandra Bullock admitted she can “barely remember” the night she won her first Academy Award in 2010 because she was caring for her newborn son, Louis. 


During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the 62‑year‑old actress explained she had only slept two hours and was secretly juggling life with her baby, who suffered from acid reflux. 


While she won Best Actress for The Blind Side, her focus was on getting back home to feed Louis.


Bullock recalled sitting in her gown with her son on her lap after the ceremony, the Oscar placed on the floor beside them. She described the moment as overwhelming but also grounding, saying exhaustion kept her from being swept up in the chaos of Hollywood celebrations. 


Even at the afterparty, she was eager to leave quickly, waiting only long enough for her award to be engraved before rushing home.


At the time, Bullock kept Louis’ adoption private, later announcing it in April 2010. She went on to adopt her daughter Laila in 2015 and has since prioritized her children’s schedules over her career. 


Reflecting on her journey, she said if her kids can’t be with her, she won’t attend events, emphasizing that their lives come before her storytelling.


 Recently, she shared a rare throwback photo of Louis and Laila on Mother’s Day, underscoring her devotion to family.
