  Ondo air crash pilot dies two weeks after wedding Squadron Leader Ahamefule Aham Man-Ugwueje, one of the pilots of the Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft, NAF 931, which crashed in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on Monday, got married in an elaborate ceremony in Abuja two weeks before the accident. Man-Ugwueje tied the knot with Flight Lieutenant Damilola Adekunle on September 19, 2026, according to details of the wedding invitation and posts by vendors involved in the ceremony. According to information on his Facebook profile, Man-Ugwueje’s hometown is listed as Umuahia, Abia State, while Abuja is listed as his current town/city. The aircraft, which had 25 people on board, including five crew members and 20 passengers, crashed while on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos. The Nigerian Air Force on Tuesday confirmed that all 25 people on board died in the accident and released their names. POLICE COMMENCE INVESTIGATION INTO SUSPECTED MURDER OF FORMER APC WOMEN LEADER IN BAUCHI

...As CP Directs Homicide Section to Take Over Case


The Bauchi State Police Command has commenced investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of one Jemimah Dutse 'F', former APC Women Leader, Bauchi South.


On 3rd October, 2026 at about 1407hrs, a 49-year-old man of Muazu New Layout, Yelwa, reported at 'E' Division that the lifeless body of the deceased was discovered in a pool of blood inside her residence at Muazu New Layout, Yelwa, with her throat slit by yet-to-be-identified assailant(s).


Upon receipt of the report, detectives attached to 'E' Division promptly visited the scene, documented it, and evacuated the body to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, for medical examination and autopsy.


Consequently, the Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, psc(+), mni, has directed the immediate transfer of the case to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet and thorough investigation with a view to unraveling the circumstances surrounding her murder and bringing perpetrators to justice.


The Command commiserates with the family, friends, and political associates of the deceased and assures the public that no stone will be left unturned to ensure justice is served. Further developments will be communicated as investigation progresses.
