I' II PRESENT MY HANDOVER NOTE MAY 28 - GOV. ORTOM 13th May, 2023   Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State says he would officially present his handover notes to the incoming administration of Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia on May 28 ahead of the May 29 inauguration. He, therefore, directed all heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, MDAs, of government whose responsibility it was to put the note together to tidy their notes for presentation. The Governor who made this known during his opening speech at the State Executive Council meeting held Friday in Makurdi also directed the heads of MDAs to be available for the presentation and be prepared to make clarifications where necessary. He said: “my handover notes will be officially presented to the incoming administration on May 28.  Red Cross To Train  Journalists in Borno State  The Nigerian Red Cross Society has promised to train members of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Borno Council on first aid and safety protocols during emergencies.  State Secretary of the Society Malam Mohammed Barma made the promise when he led officials of the Nigeria Red Cross on a courtesy visit to leadership of NUJ at Press Centre Maiduguri.  Malam Barma described journalists as strategic partners even before the upsurge of Boko Haram insurgency, stressing the need to periodically equip them with new trends of protection and safety protocols.  He pointed out that with increasing incidences of disasters and emergencies, journalists operating in volatile areas such as Borno state need to properly trained on how to protect themselves and respond in case of any eventuality.  "As part of our contribution and in an effort to strengthen existing relationship, we will offer first aid and safety training to...

Police Arrest Medical Doctor For Alleged Rape In Kwara Kwara state Police Command says It has arrested a medical Doctor one Ayodele Joseph  who allegedly specialist in sedating and raping patient in his hospital in Ilorin. Parading the suspect at the Police headquarters in Ilorin,the state Commisssioner of Police ,Mr Paul Odama said thirteen other suspects have also been arrested over Cultism and armed robbery and Ritual.
