 Prince William and Kate Middleton bring George, Charlotte and Louis to Commonwealth Games for first Scotland public outing Prince William and Kate Middleton brought their three children to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, marking the siblings’ first official public appearance in Scotland. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, attended the sporting event on Saturday, Aug. 1, during their summer break with Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8. While in Scotland, where William and Kate are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, the family spent time with Team Wales athletes and their families. 18,000 out of 25,000 formerly diesel powered street lights converted to solar lights--commissioner By Azuka Offor  The Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Anambra State, Engr Julius Mmelikam Chukwuemeka has said that out of about 25,000 street lights being previously powered by diesel by the previous administration,18,000 have been converted to solar lights so far by the solution government. Engr Chukwuemeka made this known while addressing the management of Chukwuemeka Odunmegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) during the inspection of installed solar street lights at the Igbariam Campus of the University. Mr commissioner said that the conversion from diesel powered to solar powered was in line with Gov. Soludo's campaign promise to achieve more with less. Ajaero’s Attack Existential Threat To Trade Union Movement In Nigeria – PENGASSAN The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), has condemned the recent attack on the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Comrade Joe Ajaero. In a statement signed by its President, Festus Osifo and Secretary, Lumumba Okugbawa, PENGASSAN described the attack on Ajareo as an existential threat to the trade union movement in Nigeria. PENGASSAN also described the attack on the labour leader as a blatant violation of human rights and an assault on the principles of democracy, freedom of expression and association. Ajaero was arrested in Owerri, the capital of Imo State on Wednesday during a protest by workers in Imo State over an alleged “serial and habitual abuse and violation” of their rights by the state government. Don’t evict cattle traders over decomposing bodies, group urges Otti South-East group, under the aegis of the Coalition of Igbo Unions, has urged the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, to rescind his alleged plan to evict Northern cattle traders from his state. The appeal is coming barely one week after about 70 decomposing bodies and skeletons were discovered near Abia cattle market Lokpanta in the Umuchieze area. While calling for dialogue, the Igbo group warned that any attempt to forcefully eject the traders from their region could snowball into a crisis that would inevitably affect Igbo businesses in the North.   Al Pacino has agreed to pay $30,000 per month in child support payments to his girlfriend Noor Alfallah, 29, after signing a custody agreement to care for their five-month-old child. The 83-year-old actor welcomed a child with Alfallah, who is 54 years his junior, in the middle of this year and shortly after, they began to hash out custody agreement. In addition to the over $30,000 a month in child support , a Los Angeles judge further ordered the “Scarface” star to pay Alfallah $110,000 upfront before continuing with the monthly payments, He is also to pay $13,000 for a night nurse and cover any medical bills outside of health insurance coverage.
