  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  FIRE GUTS 20 SHOPS AT JOS TERMINUS MARKET, LOSSES RUN INTO MILLIONS 25th December A late-night fire outbreak has razed more than 20 makeshift shops at the Yankwalli section of the popular Terminus Market in Jos, Plateau State, destroying goods and property valued at millions of naira. The inferno reportedly broke out at about 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and rapidly spread through the densely packed temporary structures, leaving many traders counting heavy losses. As at the time of filing this report, pockets of fire were still smouldering, while efforts were ongoing to completely put out the blaze. Eyewitnesses told Benue Info-pedia, that panic gripped the area as flames tore through the cluster of shops, fueled by the close layout and flammable materials used in their construction.  Helicopter crashes during rescue on Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro, killing all on board Five people have died after a helicopter crashed on Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania. The accident Wednesday evening happened on one of the most popular tourist climbing routes, in what police said was a rescue mission to pick up patients on the mountain. Two foreigners, who police said had been picked up in a medical evacuation, were among those killed. A local doctor, a tour guide and a pilot were also killed in the crash. The accident happened between the mountain's Barafu Camp and Kibo Summit at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters (13,100 feet). Kilimanjaro regional police commander Simon Maigwa told journalists the aircraft belonged to the Kilimanjaro Aviation company, which conducts medical evacuation services, among others. Emergency response ongoing at 22-storey building on Lagos Island More than 10 hours after the inferno that engulfed the 22-storey Great Nigeria Insurance House located on Martins Street, Lagos Island, emergency responders are yet to completely put out the fire. Flames emanating from the buildings can still be seen from a distance, while residents and business owners assess the extent of their losses.Many people in the areas have been unable to sleep. At least four buildings, including a church and mosque, have been affected by the fire. LASEMA has advised residents to remain calm and stay away from the affected buildings. Watch video below.
