 Lagos Court Jails Man One Year for Possession of Fraudulent Documents Justice O.O. Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, convicted and sentenced one Nonso Joseph Ekeocha to one year imprisonment for possession of fraudulent documents. Ekeocha was prosecuted by the Lagos Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a one-count charge bordering on possession of fraudulent documents used to perpetrate romance scam. The count reads: "Nonso Joseph Ekeocha, on or about the 27th June, 2024 in Lagos, within the judicial division of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, had in your possession, 'Instagram Profile Account', wherein you represented yourself as Ronald Gregory, and other related documents for an online dating scam, which you knew or ought to know to be false,” He pleaded "guilty" to the charge. CP MUSTAPHA MOHAMMED BALA psc, hails from Sandamu in Sandamu Local Government Area of Katsina State. 

He is a graduate of the prestigious Bayero University, Kano (BUK) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Sociology in the year 1990. He holds a Masters degree in Law and Criminal Justice (MLCJ) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in the year 2006.

He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on the 18th of May, 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police course 3/92.

He succeeds CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu as the 46th Commissioner of Police in Rivers State.


WORK EXPERIENCE:

*He is the immediate past Commissioner of Police, INEC POLICE LIASON OFFICE, Commissioner of Police SPU (Special Protection Unit FHQ) as well as

*Commissioner of Police ABIA STATE COMMAND. w.e.f.19/9/2022 TO 16/06/2023 

*DC SCID OWERRI, DC Operations, Zone 3 Yola and Dc operations kaduna Command.

*He was also a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 6 CID Calabar, Cross Rivers State.

*He served as Area Commander in Dambatta Kano State, Ahoada Rivers State 2015-2016 and AC Operations Bauchi State.

* DPO in various Commands nationwide.
